Imhof Teaming Up With Doug Wright Powerboats/DWR As Vice-President
Long before they became best friends, Justin Wagner of Waves And Wheels in Missouri and Andrew Imhof of Maryland Offshore Performance Service Center began building their own businesses based on endless passion for go-fast boating. Since getting to know each other some 15 years ago, they’ve collaborated on dozens of powerboat renovation and restoration projects. For the past seven years, they’ve co-owned a powerboat paint-shop in Missouri.
So it was only natural that when Wagner purchased Doug Wright Powerboats/DWR earlier this year, Imhof would have a role in the reshaping the vaunted catamaran brand. Now, with Imof named vice-president of the company, that role is official.
“It is exciting to be associated with the brand and what Justin, Doug Wright and Gary Stray are doing with it,” Imhof explained. “I bring more than 30 years of experience successfully serving our customers and getting their boats to run the way they are supposed to.
“We still have some of the same customers we had 30 years ago,” he added.
As previously reported, Wagner tapped Imhof to direct the new Doug Wright Powerboats/DWR poker-run support program for the company’s customers. In addition to making sure that members of the Doug Wright Powerboats family have everything they need to enjoy a given event, running the program puts Imhof in the position to offer demo rides to would-be buyers during events.
